Yaeger Architecture designed the new parade ground at the old United States Disciplinary Barracks at Fort Leavenworth, as part of a design-build project. Originally constructed in 1840, the USDB Complex is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is identified as a National Landmark District.
$500,000
Completed in 2011
This project consisted of revitalizing the existing parade ground to provide an outdoor living space, including a series of architectural features such as an outdoor pavilion, historical monuments and markers, seating and retaining walls, and pedestrian walkways and landscaping. The design of the parade ground provides new amenities while accenting the historic appearance of the complex. The master plan of the parade ground includes accommodation for expansion as additional USDB buildings are redeveloped.
