Building 50 Renovation

Yaeger Architecture Inc. was the prime contact holder for this design-bid-build project and provided project management, architecture, interior, and sustainable design for the whole building renovation of Rucker Hall, Building 50. The building serves the Center for Army Lessons Learned (CALL) as part of the expanding Army University campus at Fort Leavenworth. This project was designed in accordance with LEED v4 ID+C for Silver certification using Total Building Commissioning including air barrier testing. The design team followed current UFC and building code criteria and National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) Section 106. The project also included the design of a centralized 260-well geothermal field to support Building 50 as well as neighboring Army University buildings and a temporary, “swing-space”, for displaced occupants.
