Christina Przygoda Recognized by SAME Greater Kansas City Post

Yaeger Project Manager, Christina Przygoda, was recognized for her Outstanding Dedication and Support to the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) Greater Kansas City Post STEM Camp Program. The honor was bestowed upon Christina at the 2018 SAME Greater Kansas City Post Industry Day by Brig. Gen. Joseph Schroedel, P.E., F.SAME, USA (Ret.) who serves as the Executive Director of SAME.

Christina is currently serving on the SAME Greater Kansas City Post Board of Directors and serves as Committee Chair for the STEM Camp Program. Each summer, SAME offers four, one-week camps located on a military base, designed for High School students who excel in math, science and technical courses and are interested in pursuing engineering in college.

Christina is charged with soliciting and selecting two students and two mentors to attend one of the four camps. Applicants are selected based on criteria including being on a high school STEM track allowing for attending an accredited engineering college or university, a recommended minimum GPA of 3.2 and demonstrated leadership characteristics through participation in extra-curricular activities, sports and/or community activities. Mentors are typically currently Young Members of SAME.

Brig. Gen. Schroedel thanked Christina for her tremendous effort in supporting STEM camp and noted the importance of the camps to the nation’s future.
