Yaeger Hosts Local Students for Day of Shadowing
Yaeger Architecture team members participated in AIA Kansas City’s Women in Design Day of Shadowing last week. Women in Design invited interested area high school students to participate in the organization’s 15th annual Day of Shadowing on April 13, 2023. Yaeger hosted four local high school students as part of the event.
The following activities were enjoyed by the students:
- Yaeger office tour
- Overview of our firm’s work
- College / internship / licensure discussion
- Design process discussion
- Tour of Sierra Grill, a recently completed project in our building
- Lunch
- Product presentation by Mercer Zimmerman
AIA Kansas City’s Women in Design Committee is an association of women involved in architecture and the design professions who have come together to offer forums, community outreach, mentorship, and historical research to their members and to the community.
It’s important to Yaeger Architecture and its employees to introduce the next generation to a career in architecture and design. Yaeger hosted four students interested in our field to learn more about what we do and what a career in our field entails.
