Working at Yaeger
Thinking about working at Yaeger Architecture? Here’s what current employees have to say:
Hello! My name is Elizabeth (Eli) Morales and I am an Intern Architect. I am from Gurnee, IL (north suburb of Chicago) and a first generation graduate from Iowa State University. I received my Bachelor of Architecture with a minor in Sustainability in May of 2016. I discovered Yaeger Architecture when doing research on firms attending the Iowa State Design Career Fair and was intrigued by the diversity of projects the team tackles. I also noticed that the Yaeger team designed the barracks I lived in for my army training. As an Intern Architect, I have really valued my time working with Yaeger because there is not one day where I do not learn something. The resources provided to me have really set me up for success and confidence in the field.
My name is Rachel Knox and I am from Kansas City, MO and I graduated in 2015 from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design and a Secondary Major Certificate in Gerontology. I found out about Yaeger through a mentorship program through IIDA. I was paired with an industry professional who happened to be a product representative who made a presentation at Yaeger during my visit. I saw Yaeger again at the KSU career fair and visited the office at one of their cookouts. I felt at home by the team’s down-to-earth, fun, nature and their openness to my individual strengths. I enjoy working here because the people make the firm so unique. We have a great time together doing good work for the community both in and out of the office. Everyone is passionate about what they do every day. It’s wonderful to be surrounded by leaders in design and have access to that kind of mentorship.
I’m Jessica Gonzales and I am originally from St. Louis. I graduated from Kansas State University with a Master of Interior Architecture & Product Design. I found a job posting on the AIA website for Yaeger and the diverse group of projects attracted me to pursue a career with them. I enjoy my work family and appreciate the ability to grow and achieve as much as I want with the firm.
My name is Allie Perrine and I am originally from Philadelphia, PA. I graduated from Philadelphia University in May of 2016 with a Bachelor of Architecture. I heard about Yaeger from K-State’s design expo page and also from a LinkedIn job posting. I was attracted to Yaeger because of the diversity in project types and because of the firm size. I enjoy working here because of my co-workers who have been great mentors. Knowing I am a new graduate, my coworkers have been very patient in helping me transition into the working world.
